Job Title: Territory Sales Manager
Location: In-Home Office within a Canadian Province
Salary: Targeted Base of $45,000 - $55,000 plus Commission
CLIENT: An 80 year old world leading Manufacturer of Animal Management Systems involving a large assortment of items: Permanent and Portable Animal Control Systems, Fencing, Weighing and Watering Systems for Equine, Cattle, Swine, Sheep, Goats and other types of Wildlife. Their Products are sold thru Retailers throughout Canada and the U.S. generating over $25 Million Sales Annually and can be found in Leading Farm and Home Chains.

LOCATION: Will work from an In-Home Office within a Canadian Province.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), this Position will be responsible for the Management and Dealer Support for Sales of all Company Products and Programs to Accounts within a specific Sales Territory. The Management of the Territory will include working with the RSM to develop and execute a detailed Business Plan to; identify key potential Accounts; newly targeted geographic areas to be developed; systematic route schedules and quantifiable measures of success in building relationships with End Users and Associated Service Organizations. Dealer Support involves solicitation of New Accounts and growth of existing Business; Maintenance of P-O-S. and Merchandising Aids/Materials: Dealer Staff Training: Manage Store Inventory Levels and Conditions: Call on B, C, & D Accounts: working with Key Account Manager on Promotions and Store activities. In areas not serviced by Dealers, the TSM must personally, actively seek End User Sales in all Product Categories. Position requires Travel and is anticipated at an average of (3) three nights per week.

PERSONALITY: Candidate must be a Self-Starter with the ability to work alone and unsupervised with a powerful drive to Succeed. Strong Organizational, Time Management, and Communication skills are a necessity. Seeking a Team Player that can Lead, Mentor, and Direct Team efforts to accomplish set Company Goals and Objectives.

EXPERIENCE: Candidate must be knowledgeable and experienced in Consumer Product Sales, preferably involving like or similar Products in Farm, Animal or Agriculture, with a verifiable record of success selling to the above mentioned Channels of Trade (See Client Section). Our Client prefers Sales Professionals with a stable job history and references that state, “Type A Personality” and “Strong work ethic” and “Willing to put in the necessary hours to be successful”. (Clock-watchers need not apply). This Position requires those with polished presentation Skills and willingness to continually improve their professional knowledge and selling techniques through increased Product Knowledge, Sales Tools and Trends, In-Store Merchandising usage and Competitive awareness. While College Degree is a plus, ability to operate proficiently in Excel, Word, and Power Point is a must.

COMPENSATION: Targeted Base Salary of $45,000 to $55,000 (U.S.D.) plus Commission (commensurate with experience). The experienced confident Sales Professional can expect to earn in the $60,000 to $65,000 range and more (U.S.D.).
