| CLIENT: Our Client is a well established (in Business since mid ‘70’s) privately held Full Line Distributor of Aquatic & Companion Animals and Food generating nearly $20 Million in Sales Annually with an impressive Clientele including Retailers like Wal-Mart and Petco as well as Regional Chains and Independent Pet Stores. As an Industry leader (largest in the Midwest) they supply a huge Assortment of Fish (over 2,000 SKU’s), Small Animals, Birds, Reptiles, Aquatic Plants and Foods operating from a New, Highly Advanced, State-of-Art Facility able to service a 10 State Territory.
LOCATION: Chicago area.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting directly to the President, the main responsibilities of this New Position involve: efficiently utilizing Marketing Department to Expand Market Share, Increase Profit Margins and Improve Business Presence. Duties include: Website Management, Advertising & Promotions, Corporate Image, Trade Shows and all necessary interaction to assist the Sales Team in the growth of Sales and Business Development. Position involves some Travel within the Territory and Trade Shows.
PERSONALITY: An ambitious, self-starting individual with the desire to increase responsibility and advance their Career. Candidate must exude confidence, having the necessary skills to interact with all Levels including Corporate Entities with Petco and Wal-Mart. A creative thinker who can work independently, taking a lead role in Promotional Efforts. An ability to apply advanced understanding and carry out multiple instructions with many variables in often complex environments is a must. EXPERIENCE: While our Client would welcome an experienced Executive this is a New Position and budgeted for entry level Candidates with 1-3 years of experience. Great opportunity for College Degreed Marketing person seeking a solid Career plan involving immediate responsibility and progressive growth with added duties in Managing Promotional Support for an Industry Leader. Talents must include computer literacy, technical savvy and general knowledge of Pet, Fresh/Saltwater Fish, Reptiles, Birds and Small Animals.
COMPENSATION: For an experienced Industry Executive that exceeds these requirements, our Client is open to discussion on Compensation. For entry-level Candidates, Compensation is Targeted at $50,000 - $55,000 with increases reviewed according as evidenced by knowledge and proven proficiency in the Position.
