| CLIENT: Our Client has been in Business for 20 years and is an Industry Leading Manufacturer of Pharmaceutical Products generating over $225 Million and employing 1,000’s throughout the U.S. This Division specializes in Animal Health, providing Veterinarians and Pet Owners with high-quality Products and Services that cater to the needs of Dogs, Cats and many other Small Companion Animals.
LOCATION: Southern United States.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the successful Candidate will be responsible for the Management and Profitability of the Parasiticide Products Group within the Division by determining Strategic Direction and Managing a Line of Products Sales and Profitability Objectives. Duties include: Produce Product Forecasts; Maintain Existing Product Goals; Develop and Introduce New Products into the Marketplace and Identify potential New Markets for expansion of Product Lines; Contribute to Group Marketing Activities through working with External Support and Internal Resources to create Advertising, Packaging, Programs and Promotional Materials for end-users and assisting Sales Teams. Primary focus will be to establish a (3) three year Marketing Plan and provide direction to Sales, Planning, Manufacturing, Regulatory & Development, Finance and Business Development and track Monthly P&L, Expenses and other Department Accounts. Responsible for Directing the Product Manager with up to 40% Overnight Travel expected.
PERSONALITY: Ideal Candidate will have a proven excellence in Strategic Thinking and Communication, Interpersonal, Issue-framing and Analytical Skills. Must demonstrate the ability to coordinate a high level of Marketing Activity under a heavy, active schedule and a variety of conditions and constraints. Will be expected to present Business Materials and Issues in a concise and Professional manner to motivate Sales Department through oral presentations.
EXPERIENCE: Educational requirements involve a minimum of a B.A./B.S. Degree in Business or related field; DVM or MBA preferred. Minimum work experience of (5) five years in Sales/Marketing or Product Management and experience in Companion Veterinary Animal Health Industry is preferred. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office (to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and have the ability to orally present POA’s that will motivate Sales Force.
