| CLIENT: Our Client is a Privately held, $175 Million Business with a Division providing Product Development, Inspection, Testing and Audit Services that enable Retail and Manufacturers to determine whether Consumer Products like: Food, Pharmaceuticals, HBA, Medications, Paper Products and Toys meet Safety, Regulating, Quality, Performance and Social Standards. Our Client is a Monitoring Company that is passionate about Quality, Safety and Evaluation providing Testing, Quality Assurance and Inspection Services for an elite Group of Clients like: Wal-Mart, Target, and CVS.
LOCATION: Northeast.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for identifying and prospecting New Business within the Quality Assurance Food Industry, establishing relationships and maintaining Accounts by meeting their Technical requirements in a professional and cost effective manner. Duties include: follow-up on Sales calls, support and participate in Trade Shows, Technical Conferences, Communicate and work effectively with Client Services and Marketing Dept. to provide excellent Customer Service/ Support. Maintain up to date knowledge of Regulations pertaining to Food Safety, and Recalls. At least 50% Travel required.
PERSONALITY: Ideal Candidate will work independently and be a creative thinker who can negotiate Sales Agreements to meet or exceed Sales and Gross Margin Objectives.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in a Scientific Technical Field such as: Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Quality Assurance or related field. Minimum work experience of 3-5 years in Sales within the Food Industry, Food Ingredients and Food Flavors, while possessing a large base of Contacts within the Industry, Brokers, and Retail, etc. Familiarity with Government Agencies and Regulations as they apply to the Food Industry.
COMPENSATION: Our Client knows the value of Industry contacts and has assembled a Competitive Compensation Plan (commensurate with experience and knowledge) targeted at the $65,000-$85,000 range plus Bonus based on performance.
