| CLIENT: A Privately held, small ($10 Million) fast growing Manufacturer of Holistic Pet Foods. Established more than 25 years ago on a foundation of Customer-driven Quality, Innovation, Integrity and Superior Service, our Client is a Market Leader of Natural and Holistic Foods. Recognized and selected as a Nutritional Pet Products Provider of choice by Veterinarians and Distributors offering Industry recognized Name Brands sold through major Retailers (Costco, Petsmart), Farm Supply (Orscheln’s, TSC) and other General Merchandise Chains on both Regional and National basis, progressively improving Product Quality, Customer Service, and the Development of innovative Products, boasting a number of Brands which are some of the most well known in the Holistic Pet Food Category.
LOCATION: Midwest.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Senior Vice President, this individual will be responsible for involvement in innovation and New Product Development, Brand Management, New Channels Account specific Marketing, and Consumer/Account Promotions. Manage development of Treats Line (across Brands), developing Key Selling Propositions, by Brand and Key Account. Develop, Manage and Track all promotional activity, including all Sales and Marketing Materials, Client Communications, and Press initiatives, Product Launch Planning and Execution. Identify and Develop New Customers for Products and Services while promoting positive relations with Partners, Vendors, and Distributors. Some travel will be required.
PERSONALITY: Must be a self-starter with an aggressive mentality, high comfort level working in a rapid fast pace environment with attention to detail (expressing ideas effectively). This Candidate must be able to produce professional, engaging presentations creatively and accurately. Those seeking a 40 hour work week with no stress need not apply.
EXPERIENCE: Basic understanding of Accounting and Financial statements, outstanding Verbal/Written Communication Skills, along with highly developed Planning Skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on PowerPoint. Successful Candidate will have (7) seven or more years of related CPG or Brand Building Marketing experience (required) with in the Pet Food Marketing experience a plus. College Degreed.
COMPENSATION: Our Client has assembled a Competitive Compensation Plan Targeted at a Base Salary of $90,000 to $110,000 (commensurate with experience and knowledge) plus 20% Bonus potential and possible Equity opportunity.
