LOCATION: Northeastern United States.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting directly to the General Manager, this Key Position will be responsible for taking over and running a Newly Developed Pet Division within the Company. This Individual will Monitor all aspects of Sales and Support Functions, Devise and Implement Sales Strategies, Forecast Sales, Analyze Sales Variances, Oversee Development of In-house and Outside Sales Representatives and Develop Productive Relationships with Independent Sales Reps. Candidate will assist in the Development and Implementation of all Marketing and Advertising Strategies; Gathering and Analyzing Competitor Products, Pricing and Programs. Other duties include Identifying and Penetrating New Accounts while Growing and Maintaining Existing Accounts, Identifying Distributors and staying familiar with Supply Chain Management. Position will include Supervising, Managing and Mentoring 6 to 12 Pet Specialty Sales Managers.
PERSONALITY: Seeking a strong Leader who Manages through a “hands-on” approach. Must be motivated; a Self-Starter, enthusiastic and ready to take on responsibility without Supervision. A consistent goal achiever and a creative thinker, capable of multi-tasking and staying ambitious while maintaining a sense of urgency. Must possess strong Written, Verbal, Negotiating Skills and a passion for Growing Sales and Market Dominance in the Pet Industry.
EXPERIENCE: As a member of the Executive Management Team the ideal Candidate will possess a (4) four-year College Degree with an emphasis on Sales, Marketing or a related field. MBA a plus with a minimum of (5) five years of successful Sales and Marketing experience in the Pet Specialty Division with at least (3) three years in a related Management Position. Must possess previous knowledge and Contacts in the Pet Industry.
