| CLIENT: Our Client is a well established (in Business for over 40 years), Privately Held $50+ Million, Industry Leading Distributor of Pet Products for both the Hobbyist and Pet Industry Professionals such as Independent Retailers, Groomers, Kennels, Veterinarians and Animal Hospitals.
LOCATION: Northeast.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the President, the primary responsibility of this position will be to analyze both Branded and Private Label Products and Programs, Identify gaps and work in conjunction with Product Development to create/Source innovative new Products while supervising, mentoring and training the entire Merchandising Department.
PERSONALITY: The successful Candidate will be highly organized, energetic and intelligent. A strategic thinker with excellent analytical and strategic planning skills. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of (3) three years experience in a supervising capacity as a Merchant with Purchasing/Buying background ideally in a Catalog or Distributor related Industry. Specific responsibilities will involve all types of Pet Products sold to End-Users and the Professional Class of Trade. Retail or Catalog background preferred.
COMPENSATION: Target Base Salary in the $100,000 to $125,000 Range (Commensurate with experience) plus Bonus. Benefits include: Health, Medical and Life Insurance, 401K, Paid Holidays, Vacation, Perks.
